The NUW Alliance is a demonstration in the commitment that we can do more together than we can alone. Our collaborations bring together key researchers from across the alliance with industry and government partners. By actively pursuing and enabling collaboration on behalf of the Alliance members we are connecting our stakeholders with four universities through one door.
Six Cities Region Vision
The NUW Alliance presents its Six Cities Region Vision featuring 3 pillars of focus – Sustainability, Infrastructure and Women.
With a geographical footprint which precisely aligns with the Six Cities Region, the NUW Alliance’s strategic priorities will focus on support for our research, teaching and student communities and to provide positive social impact in the community at large.
NUW+UTS Research Vision
To realise positive social and economic transformation for the Western Parkland City through the application of collaborative research, technology and innovations at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility.
Combined, the NUW+UTS consortium constitutes Australia’s largest, highest quality, and most industry-engaged research entity.
Multiversity
In an Australia-first collaboration, the University of Newcastle, UNSW Sydney, the University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University and TAFE NSW have joined forces to establish the Multiversity – a new education, training and research approach ready for the 22nd century, centred on the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and Western Parkland City, Australia’s largest and most ambitious city development since Canberra.
NUW Energy
NUW Energy represents the largest and most compelling Australian research cohort to be addressing current energy issues. Representing a global network of leading industry partners and allied research agencies, NUW Energy enables simple, streamlined and direct access to world-class research expertise.
Jobs Joint Taskforce
The Joint Taskforce between TAFE NSW and NUW Alliance was established to drive an education-led economic recovery for Western Sydney through the development of rapid training and re-skilling programs.
